Healthy Snacks For School

Giving a mid day meal for your child at school is very important and giving him a healthy lauch at school is even more importan most children have potato chips at school but this is un healthy your child needs a healthy lauch at school to keep him in a good health condition in both mentally and physically.

Lauch time at school can also give your child the nutreint requerement of the day that may happen to be missed in other meals and should give your children more energy thoughout the day so you should add some healthy snacks with low calorie to keep their diet healthy.

Giving choices to your child is a good option because your child might get bored of the same type of food at every lauch so try offering him different types of healthy foods.

First of all you should include fruits in your child’s lauch you can try adding fruit salad, dried fruits, frozen fruit bars you can also add cereals to yoru child’s snack wether it’s dry or with milk i recommend trying muesli as it has many benefits and equals to eating two fruits.

You can add protein to your child’s snack by adding more diary products here are some of the best high protein diary products with less fat and calories:

  • String cheese.
  • No fat cottage cheese.
  • milk, yogurt with sliced bananas or strawberries.
  • Low fat chocolate milk.
  • Yogurt and fresh fruit.

Try focusing in more protein and less fat in your child’s diet because he needs more protein for the body’s gtowth and if he consumes more fat he might enddup over weight i suggest adding milk to every meal or flavoured milk but with low fat.

Water is another essential bevergae to incude in your child’s meal so try to include a glass of water withe every meal make sure your child consumes a great amount of water per day water helps flushing out unwanted toxins out of the body and is calorie free and it statisfies the body’s thirst you can also try other beverages such as juice but i suggest using 100% fresh juice for your child try serving him with 2 glasses of 100% fresh juice per day if possible avoid giving too much sodas to yout child it causes health problems such as tooth decay, over weight and many other health problems if soda is requered try club sodas they are healthier then any other soda.

Anyway the important thing is that your child’s meal contain a little from everything to give him all the necessary nutrients to be in perfect health for the rest of the day.
